- Danfo
- The yellow minibus. β¦100 + β¦5 per km, and it sits in traffic.
- Keke
- Tricycle taxi. Same fare as a danfo, a bit slower, less affected by traffic.
- Okada
- Motorbike taxi. β¦150 + β¦8 per km, the fastest through go-slow.
- Go-slow
- Lagos traffic. It slows danfos and cabs far more than okadas.
- NEPA
- Power cuts. A generator or solar keeps your appliances running.
- Face-me-I-face-you
- A single room in a shared compound. The cheapest home in Mushin.
- Self-contain
- A one-room flat with its own kitchen and bathroom. The Yaba starter home.
- Mini-flat
- A one-bedroom flat. The Nepo Baby home in Lekki.
- Buka / Mama Put
- A local restaurant. Amala Shitta is the famous one in Surulere.
- Baff
- Pidgin for bath. Fixes Hygiene.
- Belle
- Stomach. "Belle full" is a happy moodlet after a big meal.
